October 28 -Quarterfinal Sunday!

Following a great win over Winnacunnet on Wednesday the Varsity girls are moving on to the quarterfinal round of the NHIAA playoffs. The girls will be traveling to Portsmouth High School on Sunday (10/29) to take on the #2 seeded Clippers. Looking for something to do tomorrow? Come on down to Portsmouth and cheer on the girls – game time is 1:30pm.

October 24 – Playoff Wednesday!

The Varsity girls will play a first round playoff game at home (HHS Turf) on Wednesday (10/25) versus Winnacunnet HS. Game time is 5:00pm. Please come out and support the girls – this is a big one!

October 22 – End of Regular Season

All three teams finished up their regular seasons during the past week. Overall, a highly successful fall for the girls marked by significant individual and team improvement. While we’re losing 11 seniors who have contributed greatly to the program, we’re looking forward to our 1st years, Sophomores and Juniors stepping up and taking on growing roles next fall. • Jr. Varsity 2 – the girls finished their season with an overall record of 7-3-2. Coach Luurtsema has great things to say about the girls.

• Jr. Varsity 1 – the girls finished their regular season with an overall record of 9-4-1. In addition, the girls participated in a season-end tournament at Bedford on Saturday 10/21. Thanks to Coaches White, Gardner and Dominiak for stepping up to lead the girls through a fun and winning season.

• Varsity – the girls finished their regular season with an overall record of 9-5-2 and placed 7th in NHIAA’s Division 1. By virtue of their 7th place finish, the girls will host a first round playoff game this Wednesday (10/25); time and opponent to be announced on Monday. Please plan to come out to support the girls Wednesday evening.

October 15 – Final Week Regular Season

The HHS Soccer season flies by quickly. Be sure to get out to see the girls play during the last week of the regular season:

• JV 2 – the girls’ final game will be on the road at Woodstock on Tuesday (10/17). Bus departure is 3:10pm for a 4:30pm game. JV 2 is 6-2-2 at this point in the season.

• JV 1 – the high flying (9-2-1) JV 1 girls will be at home (HHS Grass) on Tuesday (10/17) for a 4:00pm match with Bishop Guertin. It’s back to the road (Pinkerton) for the final regular season game on Thursday (10/19). Dismissal is at 1:20pm for a 4:00pm game. In addition, it is likely that the JV girls will take part in a JV Tournament on Saturday 10/21. Further details to follow.

• Varsity– the 9-4-1 Varsity girls will be at home (HHS Grass) on Tuesday (10/17) for a 4:00pm match with Bishop Guertin. Senior Night festivities will take place after the game at the Cafe Plaza. It’s back to the road (Pinkerton) for the final regular season game on Thursday (10/19). Dismissal is at 1:20pm for a 4:00pm game. Varsity will qualify for the Division 1 playoffs; stay tuned for schedule information.

October 9 – Schedule Change for Wednesday 10/11

Salem has revised the game schedule for our away game this Wednesday (10/11): JV 1 will play at 4:00pm and Varsity will play at 5:30pm. As such, the bus will return at a later time for all.

October 8 – Keeping Up

Plenty of soccer action this week:

• JV 2 – Jr. Varsity 2 has an overall 5-2-2 record with two weeks to go in the season. They will be on the road at the Derryfield School on Wednesday (10/11). Departure is 1:50pm; game time is 4:00pm.

• JV 1 – Jr. Varsity 1 has an overall 7-2-1 record with two weeks to go in the season. The girls will be on the road on both Wednesday and Friday: Wednesday (10/11) – at Salem, dismissal is 1:25pm, game time is 4:00pm; Friday (10/13) – at Manchester Central West (Gill Stadium), dismissal is 1:25pm, game time is 4:00pm – this will be a late return as Varsity game will follow JV game.

• Varsity – Varsity has an overall 8-4-0 record with two weeks to go in the season. The girls will be on the road on both Wednesday and Friday: Wednesday (10/11) – at Salem, dismissal is 1:25pm, game time is 4:00pm; Friday (10/13) – at Manchester Central West (Gill Stadium), dismissal is 1:25pm, game time is 5:30pm.

October 3 – Soccer Action Today!

Both the JV 1 and Varsity girls are taking on highly competitive Exeter at 4:00pm at HHS today. The JV 1 girls will be on the Grass, while the Varsity girls will be on the Turf. Come on out and catch the action on both fields.
