Please see the following announcement regarding futsal for high school girls. This is an excellent opportunity to improve your foot skills and; at one hour per week; a great opportunity for those playing another winter sport to mix in a bit of soccer.

This activity is: Highly Recommended by Coach

FUTSAL for High School Girls
Futsal is indoor soccer played on a basketball court with a smaller, heavier ball. A major sport in Brazil, futsal emphasizes ball control and short quick runs, stressing creativity and technique. A great opportunity for players to maintain their touch between seasons and develop the tactics and technique more typical of the South American game. We will emphasize a single fundamental skill each session with the majority of time spent scrimmaging. Please bring a water bottle, grey shirt, shin guards and rubber-soled flat athletic/indoor soccer shoes. (16 Player Max)

FEE: $40; Non-Residents: $45
*Sundays, Nov. 13th – April 8th (20 wks) *will not meet on 12/25/2011 or 1/1/2012 3-4:15pm in the Marion Cross School Gym

As an update to previous post regarding All-State:

All-State First Team – Maddie Dewhirst
All-State Second Team – Madison Hill, Tessa Hill
All-State Honorable Mention – Bryce Wallis, Georgia Lubrano

and;

Maddie Dewhirst has been named to the Twin-State Team for New Hampshire (game next summer vs. Vermont);

and;

The Alumni Game will be held this coming Saturday (Sat Nov 26) at 2:00pm at the HHS Turf Field. Current players will be looking to avenge two straight losses to the Alums – be there!

The Varsity team went down in a heart-breaker in the Division 2 Finals last night: 1-2 vs. Souhegan in overtime. A very tough loss – but a great season.

Varsity Players – important team meeting Monday Nov 7 – 3:15pm in HHS Cafeteria – be there!

November 4 – What You’re Doing Today & Tomorrow

Today (Fri Nov 4) Varsity training from 3:30 to 4:45pm on HHS Turf
Tomorrow (Sat Nov 5) – Varsity be at HHS by 1:30pm for bus departure

All other persons – forget everything else you thought you’d be doing on Saturday afternoon and go see the Varsity girls in the State Championship game vs. Souhegan at 4:30pm at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. Leaves can be raked Sunday, fall cleanup can be attended to Sunday, TV can be watched Sunday, etc. – Be There!

The Varsity Girls play in the state Semi-Final tomorrow night (Thurs Nov 3) at 5:00pm vs. Oyster River at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. The girls want and need your support; so – - – cut out of work, cut out of school, skip the vacuuming, leave day care, etc. – and get to the game. Be there!
